Old Strathcona Farmers’ Market is Edmonton’s original, indoor farmers’ market. Located just off historic Whyte Ave, we’ve been operating every Saturday since 1983.

With Edmonton’s finest assortment of vendors, we have a fantastic mix of locally grown and produced goods. We are committed to providing small, independent, local businesses a venue to showcase their locally produced products.

Since 2011, the Southwest Edmonton Farmers' Market has been bringing the best local farmers, bakers, artisans and buskers to the heart of Terwillegar.
Our market is run by members of our community who are passionate about creating a gathering place to enjoy friends, neighbours and the beautiful products from our region. We are an Alberta Approved Farmers' Market and part of a large network of high-quality farmers' markets across the province.

SWEFM is a program of the non-profit Terwillegar-Riverbend Advisory Council, and values local businesses, community involvement and collaboration, sustainability, respect, and quality. We aim to bring these values to our community every Wednesday evening, all summer long! Join us on long summer evenings to take in the sights, sounds, and (of course) tastes of our community market!

We have finally found our new home and are pleased to say we will now be located at Red Deer Polytechnic. Formally known at Red Deer College, the Polytechnics east parking lots will provide plenty of room for vendors and customers alike. And with the world-famous Waskasoo trail system, the Market is easily accessible by bike or by foot. If that’s not a plan for you, then look to Red Deer Transit where buses travel regularly to the location with a stop just yards away.
We think you’ll love the new location like we do. We are looking forward to seeing you again soon.
